The Okami Legacy is DEAD.

 

Hey, everyone. Bad news ...

It's breaking my heart, but the Okami Legacy is forever gone.

I sent Ammy and Haruki to China to get some stuff that would help with the story. Only, Haruki disappeared. I double-clicked to find out where he was, but he seemed to be in the ground. I tried resetsim, boolprop, teleport, I even tried to send them back home, EVERYTHING. Since Ammy can't leave without Haruki, they're forever stuck in China.

I have absolutely NO back-ups of the game, no copies of the family, zip. And now I'm starting to regret it.

I'm REALLY sorry that the story will forever be incomplete. I apologize to those of you who were looking forward to more of the Okamis. And I thank to each one of you that have stuck with us until the very end.

I won't be deleting this file so if somehow, I know how to fix this problem, I can come back and maybe even continue to update. But for now, goodbye forever.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing now, maybe I'll wait to nurse my wounds, maybe I'll start up another legacy or a 100 baby challenge (I've tried before, but stopped because it wasn't so popular. Maybe I'll try again).

Again, I'm so sorry. Goodbye, Okamis, you'll be deeply missed.

The Okami Legacy 2.2 - "The 3rd Gen Comes 'Round"

Welcome to 2.2 of The Okami Legacy, entitled "The 3rd Gen Comes 'Round."

"Wow, these SimLife Goggles are so ... realistic! Almost if I were really there!" said Haruki excitedly as he had a virtual adventure.

"Woah! This is sick! I'm floating!" Haruki exclaimed as he continued his adventure.

Amaterasu had a go on the goggles, too. She, too, was surprised at how real everything seemed.

"Blehh ..." Abigail threw out her stomach's contents. She had not been feeling good lately, wonder why ..?

Sure enough, Abigail was preggers. She happily rubbed her bump that was barely visible.

Abigail often was seen looking out the window, holding a stuffed animal. She was eager for her child to arrive, but for now her teddy bear would have to fill in until a real, breathing baby filled her arms.

Haruki was especially delighted about this. He wanted to be what Xander never was. A real father. He didn't want to let his child down and neglect it like he was.

H even offered to give her back massages. He wanted the pregnancy to be smooth and the baby to be healthy.

Even Amaterasu was intrigued. She couldn't wait for her own grandson.

Amaterasu was eager for the day she retired. She would recieve a pension check of $260 a day.

One night, a burgular crept onto the lot! Her eyes were full of greed, ready to swipe anything of value from the Okamis.

"Ha!" said the burgular as she stole the TV and stashed it in her goody bag.

Luckily, Abigail awoke at the scene of the crime. Hurriedly she pulled out her cell phone, dialed the police and whispered so the thief couldn't hear her. "Cops! Cops! There's a burgular in my house! Please come immediately!" Abigail said nervously.

Haruki stepped out into the living room where the burgular was, but due to his Coward trait he felt sick and then passed out on the floor. 

"Haha! More goods!" thought the burgular aloud as she opened her bag to put the shower in.

The burgular was just about to leave when a policewoman showed up. "Hold it RIGHT THERE!" she said. "You have been caught stealing! Anything you say can and will be held against you."

The bugular then attempted to run from the scene of crime, but the policewoman beat her up.

"Stealing, attempting to run away, and then trying to beat up a cop ... you'll be in prison for a while, rest assured!" said the cop as she put handcuffs on the thief.

The policewoman then drove the thief to jail which was where she rightfully belonged.

Amaterasu still couldn't stop thinking about Boyd. She spent most of her free time in the family mausoleum mourning. "Boyd! Sweetheart! Why have you gone? You were stolen from me!" she sobbed.

"The wedding vows, the sayings ... they lie. The phrase ''til death do us part' is false. Death only delays love for a while. Only when I am resting in death shall I be happy, for I will be with you ..." she continued on.

"This cruel, cruel world! Why must they create two worlds, the land of the living and of the dead? Why do I have to wait to be with you?" Amaterasu pondered.

"I'll be with you. Not today, maybe not tomorrow. But someday. Just wait for me, my love. I'll be at rest with you soon. Just wait." Amaterasu sniffled.

Haruki was overjoyed when he learned that he was an uncle! Aiko and Ronnie gave birth to a healthly, red baby boy named Thad Okami. Seeing his tiny body made Haruki want his own child to arrive fast.

Then, as if a prophecy was being fufilled, Abigail went into birth whilst sleeping later that night. It was the worst pain she had ever felt! How was she supposed to press on?

"Ah! Call Haruki! Breathe in, breathe out, my dear! Be calm!" advised Amaterasu.

Haruki came rushing home, and they both rushed to the hospital.

Then, late at night, a new life was brought into the world. Introducing Ayane Okami. "Ayane" meant "iris" in Japanese.

However, while Haruki and Abigail were occupied smothering their new baby girl with attention, Amaterasu was all the way down in the mausoleum. "Darling ..." she whispered.

"... I knew you'd come back."

The Okami Legacy Teaser

Hey everyone.
I haven't been able to play for a while, so I apologize for that. But, here's a little teaser to hold you over until the next chapter.

The man walked slowly up to the throne, which was surrounded by piles of gold. There was only one light in the small dungeon room, a ceiling torch, casting a shadow throughout everything. He slightly bowed before looking his ruler in the eye: "Your Highness ... she has reached an old age, and is expected to expire soon ..."

The person looked up. "Good," she replied. "She'll be gone forever, and I'll have my power back and will be able to rule."

"Erm, no ... y-your Highness ... she has produced an offspring that will spawn more generations, who will, eventually, reach you, and attempt to defeat you once more ..."

"Oh, you're telling me this now?"

"Y-y-your --"

"ENOUGH!!!!!" she yelled, so loud that the walls shook: she then went to a corner and rested her hand upon a dusty chest. "What she does not know, the further she progresses, the stronger I grow ... it won't be long before I'm restored back to my old self again. But that does not make them any weaker. I have a mission for you, my dear servant."

After some tugging, the chest opened: a light escaped from it so bright that it filled the entire room. "I never thought I'd have to use this," she mumbled. "This is a portal to the mortal world. I need you to do me a favor there," she said, whispering into the servant's ear ...

The Okami Legacy 1.6 - "Nearly Mature ..."

The Okami Legacy 1.6 - "Nearly Mature ..."

"Woohoo! Happy birthday to meeeee!" Yup, you heard right. Amaterasu Okami, founder of the Okami legacy, would be aging up into an Adult!

"Woo! Go mum!" Haruki and Hotaru cheered for their mother.

"I want a healthy, happy family for generations to come!" Amaterasu made a birthday wish as she spun into adulthood.

"Hmm ... I pretty much look and feel the same as I did when I was a young adult ..." Though Amaterasu had gained wrinkles, she knew she earned every one, and saw them as a gift, showing how much she had accomplished through her youngin years.

"WOW! Bro! This is our school? It's huuuuuge!" The twins gaped at the size of their school. "Don't worry, getting around is easier than you think!" laughed Haruki as they entered the building.

Haruki's habit of working out never came to a halt when she aged up. He still wanted a fit, ripped body.

"Sis, this homework stuff is hard!" complained Aiko. "Ssssh! Let me read the problem," said Hotaru. "I hate fractions ..." Aiko went off again.

"I have a good feeling I'll get a promotion today!" said Amaterasu excitedly to Hotaru.

Sure enough, Amaterasu walked out of work with just that - a promotion.

"Thanks for the promotion, Holly! I really appreciate it." Amaterasu poured her graditude out to her boss for promoting her.

The two shared a friendly hug. Holly wasn't just a boss, she was a best friend.

 

Haruki called his girlfriend Abigail over to discover a nasty surprise: she had aged up into a young adult! All Haruki could do was stare at her. She was taller.

"We can still be together, but until you age up, we just can't be ... exclusive." Abigail gave her boyfriend a hug to reassure him.

"Woo, birthday time for me!" exclaimed Hotaru.

"Here I go!" Hotaru began to spin around and age up into a teen.

"Wait for me, sis! I was born first, after all!" teased Aiko as she had her birthday herself.

"Yay! Go Aiko!" Haruki cheered, even though he wished he could age up into a Young Adult right along with them.

"Here I go! Whee! These sparkles tickle!" Aiko laughed as she spun around.

Aiko Okami developed the trait Ambitious, like her mother. Trying to be creative and follow her name's meaning, "love child," using lipstick she drew a thick red heart on her lips. She looked a lot like Boyd still.

Hotaru Okami developed the Unflirty trait. She picked a shoulder-length hairstyle that complimented her face and unique red-white hair color.

"There's something in my eye! There's something in my eye! Ack!" Hotaru tried to pick whatever went in her eye.

"You'll live! Help me with my homework!" Aiko rolled her eyes at her sister's over-reacting. "Fine, whatever you say," Hotaru said, rolling her eyes as well. "Fractions are still hard ..." mumbled Aiko under her breath, frustrated.

The baby storage room has been transformed into a mini-study! It contained cherry-blossom wallpaper and a computer. The baby things were moved to the family inventory.

Hotaru decided to try writing. It was funner than she thought it would be, and so she started her first Fiction novel, Red & White.

"Ugh ..." Aiko groaned as she laid on the couch, exhausted, an arm and a leg dangling off the side, nearly touching the floor.

"Don't I look cute?" Aiko modeled for herself as she did various poses, made possible with cmomoney's Pose Player over at ModTheSims.

"Look at this stuff!" Aiko posed again.

A radio was placed on the desk in the study! Hotaru loved to listen to music while she ticked away at the keyboard.

Aiko though, loved to dance and sing.

"This place about to blow, blow-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!" Aiko sang her heart out to one of her favorite songs, "Blow" by Ke$ha.

"It's time to lose your mind and let the crazy out ..." she continued singing.

"Go-go-go-go insane, go insane. Throw some glitter, make it rain on 'em." Boyd was now dancing and singing right along with Aiko.

"This place about to blow-blow-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!" The two fully enjoyed the boom box.

Though ancient and old, Simhenge was a beautiful place. Since almost nobody was there, it was peaceful and full of solitude. Also, it was swarming with rocks, gems and bugs to collect.

"Huh, this butterfly is red! I'll give it to mom!" Haruki thought, smiling as he looked at the red butterfly that totally reminded him of his mother.

Hotaru was such an angel. She would often help out with the daily chores around the house.

True love never dies.

"Hey, Holly ..." Amaterasu's eyes rolled down to her stomach, and she gasped. "Ohmigosh, it's true!"

"Yup," laughed Holly. She had gotten married to Malcolm Landgraab (now Alto) and a baby was on the way.

"I hear it! I heard it, I swear!"

"It's a girl. It's a little girl for sure!" Amaterasu was confident that Holly's child was going to be a girl. "Really? You're no doctor!" said Holly, skeptical about her guess. "But I'm a scientist!" she laughed.

Amaterasu gave her boss/friend a congratulations hug.

"You know what would be cool? A potion that allows you to select the gender of your babies!" Amaterasu's enthusiam for science and her career never died. "Well, didn't you hear? According to recent studies, watermelons and apples have been linked to determining your baby's final gender during pregnancy," Holly informed Amaterasu on the latest science news. "Maybe they can use this information to create such a potion!" laughed Amaterasu.

Meanwhile, Haruki was enjoying the beach. It was past curfew, and he was not getting caught. The air had cooled down, and the stars were twinkling against the sky.

But, Haruki had the strangest feeling. It was as if an uncomfortable aura had settled down around him. Haruki ... knew that aura. He had not felt it since he was a little baby. He didn't want to, but he got up, shaking. He knew he had to get out, and fast.

It was too late, though. Xander Clavell, Amaterasu's ex-husband, was eyeing him. He then began to walk towards him. Haruki froze, not knowing how to react.

Haruki had not seen him for years, and only now was he beginning to realize why Amaterasu had ignored him the most. He was almost a carbon copy of his cheating father.

Haruki seemed dazed for a moment. And then he exploded. Anger had been filling up and boiling inside of him since the day he had seen Xander kissing another woman through his undeveloped, newborn eyes. The anger was now boiling over and rushing out of Haruki like a dam inside of him had broken.

 

"You filthy scumbag ..." Haruki said through clenched teeth.

Xander wasn't amused. "That's no way to greet your father, young man," he lectured.

"My FATHER!" screamed Haruki. "You're not a father, you never were. While my mother was the one supporting the family and committing to you and her's relationship, you were sneaking like the filthy rat you are behind her back and getting down with other women! What SICK, what CRUEL, human being DOES something vile like that?!"

Xander, being the hot-head he was, fought back. "I see after a decade and a half, you're both still pissed at me. People change, get that through your thick head"

"Yes, people change. But people like you don't, unfortunately. And all the proof is right here. Not one call, e-mail, letter, or visit from you. Not even one birthday card. You didn't want any part of my life from the moment I came out of those hospital doors, and you damn straight know it. You're just so ... pathetic that you don't want to hurt your little ego."

Xander's eyes flashed. "Fine, be without a father. I could care. I never did."

 

"You're wrong. I DO have a father. His name is Boyd Okami, formerly Boyd Wainwright. He was the one who helped my mother get over you. He was the one who treated me like his son, even though he knew that, biologically, I wasn't. He could of treated his daughters/my half-sisters better, he could of spoiled them and ignored me because I was related to YOU, the man who destroyed his marriage as well as my mom's. But he didn't. He loved equally me even though I was the one who pretty much caused your cheating act. Boyd has cared for me more than you, Xander Clavell, ever could have."

And, with that, he walked away - Xander had gotten served. Haruki hid his victorious smile for when he wasn't looking, and knew that he had crushed Xander and his little ego, plus prevented him from ever bothering the Okamis again. He headed back home before the police found out he was out after curfew.

"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Holly screamed; she was going into labor, right at the Okami household!

Holly asked for Amaterasu to be there when she was having the baby, and Amaterasu agreed, taking her to the hospital.

 

Malcolm Alto, formerly Malcolm Landgraab, soon followed.

"Ha! A girl! What did I tell you?" Amaterasu smiled as she knew that she had guessed right. Little Rena Alto was brought into the world.

Even though Amaterasu thought Holly should get some sleep and relax with the baby, she asked her to stay over for a while. So they headed into the Alto mansion.

"What a cutie!" Amaterasu smiled as she fed Rena, who greedily gulped down the contents of the bottle. She wanted to help out with the baby. She knew that it was tough.

"Awwww! Just how adorable are you!" Amaterasu gushed over little Rena. You couldn't help but smile when you looked at her. She had the cutest button nose.
